We received a shipment in of the new Oopsy Daisy Peel & Place Art this morning and they won't last long. This is our 5th shipment since October and we just can't keep them in stock. It is such a brilliant idea...you put the art where you want it and it can be removed or replaced later. We have these sets on our walls in the store and no one can tell they aren't hand painted on. Kids love these!

Wendy and I are all about supporting artists, both local and national. Those people who create such unique items that you know you have something truly special. If you share our love for supporting handmade items you will be happy to know that our resident artist - Wendy- just brought in some of her one-of-a-kind albums and some special fairy wands that are so cute you'll want them all (I personally have already bought 3 wands... like every 31 year old woman needs right???)

We are honored to be included in the holiday gift guide for Jacksonville's Luxury Living Magazine. They had the photo shoot a couple of months ago so we weren't sure what items were going to make it in. The phone started to ring with people trying to buy what they were seeing the magazine. Jamie and I ran down to the grocery store to see what all was inside. We are happy to see they picked out some of our best sellers. The retro sofas and the ric-rac dress with matching purse. Just in time for Santa!

What a party!

We finally have recovered from the Open House, it was so much fun! The store was filled with people, the snacks were delicious and we were able to make one lady very, very happy!We had a little help drawing a name for the winner of the double stroller. And the winner was...

Janice Batch! We couldn't be happier, we know her two boys are going to love going for rides in this. Thank you all for making the past 3 years the best!

Can you believe it? POPIN is turning 3 tomorrow. Boy, time does fly (my little one was just learning how to walk when we opened and now she's learning to read).
Thank you so much for making our store so the best in Jacksonville! We have enjoyed getting to know each and every one of you.

We wanted to remind everyone that we will be closed on Thursday and Friday but back open regular hours on Saturday. Today we are unpacking huge shipments of Christmas toys at the store.


We'll be updating the website with new items too. We also have started planning our next Make-it/Take-it (the best one yet too!) It will be in January since the holiday times are just so busy for everyone. We will keep you posted as it gets a little closer to the date.

We're Back!!!!

Whew! It was a long exciting weekend getaway but we're back and getting right back to work. We had the chance to meet the most amazing artists this weekend at Silver Bella in Omaha, Nebraska. Just as we were leaving for our trip, look what arrived:This is the new bedding using Jennifer Paganelli's wonderful fabrics from her Sis Boom collection. And just looky who our first class was with at Silver Bella:
Miss Jennifer Paganelli herself! It was such a fun class, we made Christmas cones and a beautiful Christmas banner. We had 4 other classes with 4 other amazing teachers. You can read more about it over at Wendy's blog. At vendor night (we did so much shopping it wasn't even funny) it was designated as Junk Gypsies attire, here we are:

Happy Halloween

I hope everyone has a super fun and safe Halloween tonight! I know I'll be escorting my adorable niece & nephew & dog around my neighborhood gathering up as many goodies as we can. Bella will be dressed as a be-bop girl (complete with poodle skirt!) and Preston will be a very convincing Darth Vader - Radar, in case you were wondering, will be accompanying Preston as Yoda (the pic above is from last year...he decided to go as a witch). If you swing by POPIN today you'll get to see me dressed in my costume (I couldn't resist) I'm not gonna spoil the surprise.... you'll have to stop in and see me....

Crafty Goodness!

Here's a peek at our August MITI (make-it-take-it) class. Let me just say, these classes are so much fun! Last night we all added our own special twist on Wendy's famous photo tins. It was so neat to see everyone create their designs and add their own unique touches to these family keepsakes. We will post the details for our September MITI soon...stay tuned....our regulars had a few special requests so we are gonna try to accommodate with a really special project next month. Big and Little

If you haven't stopped in lately you will be surprised at all of the changes and the huge increase in clothing POPIN has started carrying. We have gone a little crazy in this department but we just can't help ourselves! Today we received a shipment of the cutest tees, my personal favorite being this:
We also received the best big bro/big sis and little bro/little sis shirts:
Not sure if you can see it, but on the big brother shirt it says: "honor & defend", on the little brother shirt it says: "search & destroy". On the big sis shirt it says: "cherish & protect" and on the little sis shirt is says: "spoil & love."

Also, we have had so many requests for it, so...we are going to start carrying Zutano in October! I know that my daughter lived in Zutano clothes her first 2 years! They are by far the most comfortable and well made clothes around.

We also received the best new baby albums in on Friday. They will bring you to tears every time you read them. They also came in adoption which lately has been requested frequently. It comes with pages to fill out about the "forever family" and the "birth family." What an amazing gift to give your child when they are older!

We have been getting in new merchandise everyday. Please excuse the boxes if you happen to come in when we get a delivery, but it has been a lot like Christmas around here! I put some of the new stuff on the website, under New Items. The item I am most excited about are the new golf socks! Since everyone in my family is a golfer, these were a must have for us!

Good Times at POPIN

Another successful MITI! We had a blast on Tuesday night with all of the ladies. Ribbon was flying, brownies were eaten and lots of chatting and laughing from everyone.
